Minutes for the Little Switzerland ARC October 14, 2023 at Pizza Hut in Eureka Springs, Ar.

Well . . . . Jonesy’s restaurant was cold in back openair room AND it was already full of customers.

So Rudy got on his phone to the Pizza Hut in Eureka Springs, to determine if we could  use their backroom and they said “yall come”.  Rudy and others called members that were not at Jonesy’s yet about the diversion.

The tables were set up properly thanks to Walt and Mary Ellen by the short time it took for the rest of us arrived.

The meeting was brought to order by Rudy at 12:13pm.

Rudy read the minutes for the September meeting, and them asked for corrections.  None were mentioned, Susan moved to accept the minutes as read and Reta seconded. “I”s were unanimous, the minutes was accepted.

Treasurer’s report was presented by Susan:   Beginning Balance                            $1,044.11

                                                                                         Ending Balance               $1,016.82
Scott moved to accept as read, Walt seconded, “I”s were unanimous, report was accepted.

Old Business:
Scott talked about I.P. address, 4 digits are experiencing a one year delay but the 6 digits are available now.  Randy or Scott can give us a 6 digit address so were can then do remote control of the repeaters.

Rudy talked about APRS equipment needed, A router, 2 meter radio, 2 meter antenna, sound card, so please bring your extra 2 meter mobile radios, antennas, to next meeting.

Reta mentioned we should drop our 440 frequency so someone else can us it since we can not reach it. Terry will contact the State organization which controls who gets a frequency to release our 444.250mhz frequency.

New business:
Next club meeting: We will check with Sparkies in Eureka Springs, Scott will check local schools for possible meeting room, Rudy said we can still use the church on Passion Play Road, and of course we can still use Pizza Hut next time.

Scott mentioned that we should put together a list of helpers to help members set up antennas or radio rooms. That just may be his topic for the next Thursday night 7pm net.

Rudy closed the meeting at 12:45pm.  The food was good and so were the chit chats we all had.

Terry will have a presentation on his Micro-node at the November meeting.
