Greetings from the Little Switzerland Amateur Radio Club

Rudy brought the August 12, 2023, monthly club meeting at Jonesy’s Sport Bar & Grill in Eureka Springs to order at 11:56am.

Rudy read the minutes for the July meeting. Walt moved to accept the minutes as read and Scott seconded.  “I”s were unanimous, motion carried.

The treasurer’s report was not available due to Susan on the road home so there will be a double month report next month.

Old Business:  We had a talk by 2 or 3 members on how the activation of our internet connection will be set up with Echolink and APRS etc. 

New Business:  We had a couple of possible new members attend with questions.  A. T. and Holly.  I will send him a roster so that they can call us with questions and possibly visit our homes to see our ham setups and equipment.  AND C. W. gave a little talk on how he transformed a Yaesu-101 into a CB radio station with a simple change of 10-meter crystal to an eleven-meter crystal.

Rudy brought the meeting to a close at 12:45pm.

Our next club meeting will be held at Joney’s again on September 9 at 12:00 noon.

Scott gave his presentation on APRS with history of APRS development and many uses.  Thank you, Scott.
