Our club meeting for June 2023 was held at Reta and Rudy’s home in Berryville, Ar.  Rudy called the meeting at 11:59am.

    Minutes for May meeting were read by Rudy Reta moved to accept as read and Cameron seconded. All asked to accept motion by saying “I”  and the “I’s” were unanimous.  Motion passed.

    The treasurer’s report was withheld until next month’s meeting because Treasurer Susan was out of town.

    No old business:

    New business:  Field Day June 24, 12:00 noon to 12:00 noon June 25 is the official time for operation. We try to take advantage of the event to set up stations for HF using generator power as if we were in emergency conditions.  It is also a contest sponsored by the ARRL for practicing our radio communications skills.  We will be contacting participating in the contest to help those stations contesting to gain points, but we will not send any information to ARRL.  I will be bringing my Icom-7000, power supply and Buck-Master antenna to see how it all works. Other members will be bringing their own equipment. 

    Also, we still need a qualified person to set up the internet connection now in the repeater building to IRLP and Allstar connections.

    Before this meeting we all met at the repeater site to clean the building and cut down 3 tall trees which were overtaking guy wires. 

    Our next club meeting will be held at the Eureka Springs Pizza Hut and that is still the second Saturday of the month, July 8 at 12:00 noon.

    Rudy adjourned the meeting at 12:24pm and the food was enjoyed by all.
