Meeting was brought to order by Walt, WA6LII, at
2:08pm at the
First Christion Church,
763 Passion Play Rd.
Eureka Springs, AR.
Minutes from the May meeting, Gary moved to accept as read, Steve
seconded, “I”s were unanimous, minutes were accepted.
Treasurer’s report was given by Walt in Susan’s absents. After
utilities were paid and dues collected the new balance is $1,056.86.
Terry moved to accept as read, Rudy seconded, “I”s were
unanimous, treasurer report was accepted.
Old Business:
The painting of the repeater shack inside was not done. The installation
of a bolt lock in the shack also was not done.
We talked about moving the 440 antenna higher on the tower and
replacing the coax with LMR400 for less loss.
Then install an “N” connector on one end and a PL-259 on the
other end to eliminate loss from adapters.
The purchase is dependent on getting
someone to climb the tower to install the coax and move the
antenna farther up.
New Business:
For field day we will try
to find some “Ham Sticks” of various lengths.
A di-pole will be available too.
The next meeting will be July 14th, same place and
time.
Meeting closed at 2:27pm and snacks were served.
